Karen Blixen's book "Out of Africa" begins with: "I had a farm in Africa, at the foot of the Ngong Hills". Blixen lived near the site of this webcam, looking out from her veranda at this view.
The hills are a major landmark for aviation in Kenya so up to date weather information from a webcam can be useful.
The camera is located in Amy Sandys-Lumsdaine's roof-top art studio at her home in Hardy Estate, Nairobi.
