Peponi is a small hotel on the island of Lamu, situated at one end of the spectacular twelve-kilometre Shela Beach on the Indian Ocean. Peponi opened in 1967 and is still run by the Korschen family. A house that grew into a hotel, its iconic main building is synonymous with the beachfront of Shela village. Small and personal, it is the perfect rest after a safari or a hide away holiday from modern life.
